The Artist-Sharon Callison
Sharon is a Portland native, growing up in the pacific northwest she appreciates the sun and accepts the rain, as it does makes things grow and be green. The chartreuse color of new growth inspires her to be creative and create these works of art. She finds inspiration in the fractals found in nature, sunshine and music.
Works are created using felt tipped and gel ink pens. As a young child she would draw both simple and complex lines around an object. This later grew into a fascination with symmetry and the everyday fractals in nature. Each piece is a process starting with a single shape; be it a dot, heart, spiral or whatever her mind desires. From there the design radiates outward; merging and creating patterns, one line, dot and mark at a time. Each piece is free hand; a ruler to mark long straight lines, pencil to mark the basic shape she wishes to emerge.
Sit back and enjoy the show her imagination brings!
